Melicera started with two hives and a stubborn belief that the best honey cannot be rushed, blended, or heated. It still can't.
We never overharvest. Each hive keeps enough honey for winter before we take any for ourselves.
Our honey is never blended, diluted, or pasteurised. What comes from the hive goes into the jar.
Every batch is tagged with the hive ID, elevation, and harvest date. You can see exactly where your honey came from.

2014
Sanjay, our founder, placed his first two hives in a remote meadow above 2,400 m. He wanted honey that tasted wild — not farmed.
2017
After years of experimentation we settled on wild-forage only apiaries. No monoculture crops. Our bees travel freely for up to 5 km in every direction.
2020
We built a small in-house cold-extraction room. Every batch is extracted below 35 °C to preserve the living enzymes, pollen, and propolis.
2023
